What is Chrome River?
Answer
Chrome River is an expense management tool for pcard transactions and reimbursements.
Accessing Chrome River
- Log in to MyBGSU and authenticate via Duo.
- Select Dashboard from the left menu.
- Select Staff or Faculty
- Select the Chrome River widget.
Notes about access:
- Chrome River does not require VPN for access for any reason.
- Access to Chrome River requires one of the following formal university affiliations:
- Staff
- Part-time Staff
- Faculty
- Part-time Faculty
- It is not possible to make exceptions to these affiliation requirements.
Chrome River Error Messages
- While attempting to log in, if you are redirected to a log-in screen that asks for a CompanyID number:
- Something has gone wrong. Chrome River uses BGSU Single Sign-on (SSO) to log you in. A redirection to this login page could indicate one of the following issues:
- You do not have proper affiliations listed in Oracle Identity Management. See required affiliations above.
- You may be locked out of FMS.
- If you are a 9 month employee who's contract has gone inactive for 3 months, your effective date for reactivation will be 9/1 of the current year. Contact HR for more information.
- If you receive a different error message when attempting to access Chrome River, please attempt the following:
- If you are a new employee, access will be granted 24 hours after your employment effective date in HCM. Contact HR for more information.
