Where is the Duo QR code I am supposed to scan when setting up a new device?
Answer
The Duo QR code for new device configuration will appear in the Add a new device setup process. Do not use the device you are adding to start the new device configuration. Please us a separate device.
For example, if you have a new mobile device and are setting it up using your laptop, the QR code will appear in the window on your laptop, after choosing the type of phone and selecting I have Duo Mobile installed.
The Duo QR code will appear during one of the following new device setup processes.
Adding a new device with the same phone number.
Adding a new device with a new phone number (only if you still have the old device).
You will then use your Duo Mobile app on the new device to scan the QR code on the computer screen by following these steps:
- Open Duo Mobile on your new device.
- Tap the + (plus) sign.
- Scan the QR code on your computer screen using your new device.
If you are unable to scan the Duo QR code, follow these steps.
