Answer

Follow these steps to attempt to remedy your laptop audio issue(s):

  1. Confirm the laptop is hooked to the AV System.
  2. Verify computer is powered on
  3. Verify audio cord is plugged into the headphone jack of the laptop and plugged into the audio jack of the AV System.
  4. Test the audio of the computer to confirm audio is working appropriately.
    • Play a YouTube video, stream something, etc.
  5. If you do not hear any sound:
    1. Verify the volume is up on the video you are playing.
    2. Verify the volume on the computer is on.
    3. Check the audio volume at the touch panel.
    4. Confirm the audio source on the touch panel is correct by pressing the Audio Selection button and choosing your video source (Instructor PC, HDMI, VGA, etc.).
  6. If no audio, reset the AV system by powering down and back on.  This should take approximately six minutes.

If you are experiencing audio issues that are not resolved by following the steps above, we recommend reviewing our Windows Audio Troubleshooting article.
