How do I print a document(s) from my personal device to a Student Print Release station?

Answer

Expand the panels below based on your device type for instructions on how to send a document(s) to a Student Print Release station. Please ensure you have Student Printing configured on your device PRIOR to attempting to print. 

Users must be connected to the BGSU eduroam network in order to print to Student Print Release stations. For information on connecting your device to eduroam, click here

 

  1. Navigate to the document you would like to print and open the Print dialog in that application.
  2. Select Print to print your document.
  3. When prompted, enter your BGSU username and password and select OK

Please NoteColor prints are selected by default. To print in black and white, change these settings in Printer Options prior to printing your document.

 

Navigate to the document on your phone that you would like to print. 

2. Open the document.

3. Click on the ellipses (…) icon at the top of the screen.

4. Select Print

            

5. Select AirPrint.

6. Select bg-print-color from the list of available printer options.

7.  When prompted, enter your BGSU username and password and then select OK.

8. Bg-print-color should now be selected as the printer on the Print Options screen. Select Print to print your document to a Student Printing release station.

  1. Navigate to the document you would like to print and open the Print dialog in that application.

  2. Verify BG-Print-Color [printserver3] is the selected printer.

  3. Print your document.

  1. Open the webpage or file that you would like to print, and then select the print option.
  2. Select BGSU Papercut printer – there will be a green PaperCut icon located to next to the printer name.
  3. Click Print, and then sign in to the PaperCut pop-up with your BGSU username and password.
  4. Select Sign in and print to print your document.

  1. Open the file you want to print.

  2. Tap the 3-dot menu icon.

  3. Select Print.

  4. Verify your print settings and select PRINT.

  5. Verify BG-Print-Color, Mobility Print is selected, and select the printer icon to send your print job to your queue.

    • If no printers are appearing make sure you are connected to Eduroam and not using a VPN or custom DNS.
