Question
What equipment/accessories are included with my new BGSU University-owned laptop? (*Note*: This does not apply to Auxiliary departments, as they are required to purchase desired accessories and add-ons.)
Answer
Below is a listing of what is included with the various types of new University laptop requests.
Monitors
- Consolidating from multiple devices to one laptop (for example, consolidating from a primary desktop computer and secondary laptop to a laptop only): ITS will provide one standard 24” monitor with laptop installation if the user has less than two monitors available. Additional monitors must be purchased by the department per our Device & Accessory Purchasing Guidelines.
- New hire laptop installations: ITS will provide one standard 24” monitor with installation if the user currently has less than two monitors available. Additional monitors must be purchased by the department per our Device & Accessory Purchasing Guidelines. Included also is a wireless keyboard combo.
- Monitors for any request/installation not outlined above should be purchased by the department per our Device & Accessory Purchasing Guidelines.
Docks & Adapters
- Review the model's specification page on our University Devices webpage to determine if a dock or display/USB adapter is included.
Keyboards & Mice
- Due to the University move to laptop devices, ITS will no longer provide keyboards and mice (unless for new hire installation). Additional wired and wireless mice and keyboards should be purchased by the department per our Device & Accessory Purchasing Guidelines.
