This guide will walk you through connecting to your on campus computer from off campus using an Apple Computer. For information on connecting using a Windows Computer, use this guide.

Setting Up Pulse

Connecting to a Apple Computer

Before you start this process, you will will need to install and configure the Pulse Application. Use this guide for Using Pulse on Apple.

1. Connect Pulse.

2. Click on your desktop and then Select Go and scroll to Connect to Server:

3. In the server address box, enter vnc:// followed by the IP address given to you by the Technology Support Center:

4. You will be prompted to enter the username and password for your on campus Apple Computer before connecting.

Connecting to a Windows Computer

Before you start this process, you will will need to install and configure the Pulse Application. Use this guide for Using Pulse on Apple. Once you have completed this setup one time, you will be able to skip to step 4 after connecting to Pulse in the future.

1. Connect Pulse.

2. Install Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Apple App store.

3. Open the Microsoft Remote Desktop application.

3. Select New from the top menu.

4. Enter the following information and then select the red close icon to save this connection.

  • Connection Name: A name of your choice you will remember.
  • PC name: the IP address given to you by the Technology Support Center.
  • Credentials: Your BGSU Username and Password.

5. Under the My Desktops section, double click the name of the computer you wish to connect to:
