Zoom Meeting/Personal Meeting Password Requirements

Question

Are passwords/passcodes required for Zoom meetings?

Answer

As a security best practice, passcodes are required for all new scheduled Zoom meetings and all Zoom instant meetings created using your BGSU Zoom account. Passwords are not required for meetings using your Personal Meeting ID (PMS), but by default, this setting is turned ON. I

By default, Zoom embeds the passcode into meeting/webinar links, if participants click the link they will not be prompted to enter a passcode when joining. This also includes Zoom meetings scheduled through Canvas.
