FMS: Request Access

Who can use it?

BGSU Faculty and Staff with financial service needs.

What is it?

FMS is the acronym for Financial Management System, BGSU’s enterprise application for storing and maintaining financial data.  This application contains multiple modules, with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Asset Management, Purchasing, Grants, Project Costing, and Cash Management being the largest modules used at BGSU.

Where to get it?

BGSU employees who will be using the FMS PeopleSoft system to complete financial transactions are required to obtain approval for the appropriate security level prior to using the FMS system. Access and an associated security level is provided based on the user's role within the system.

Each department has a staff member(s) named for the role of Requester, Budget Administrator, Senior Administrator, and Vice President. Human Resources provides appropriate training to those assigned to these roles.  Once training has been completed, employees may request access to the FMS system. Click here to request FMS training.

To submit a request to add or delete FMS security, please complete the "Request FMS Access" form on this page. This form will be electronically approved by your supervisor.

Click here for instructions for filling out the FMS access form.

How to use it?

All appropriately completed forms will continue through the FMS review process for verification of training attendance and for appropriate approvals/signatures. Once all approvals have been received, the applicant will receive access to FMS. Applicants will receive an email to notify them when this process has been completed and they may begin using FMS.

Training is provided for all new users seeking FMS Access. Visit our FMS Training page for more information.

How much does it cost?
