How to perform a DNS Flush On a PC

Question

How do I clear DNS (Domain Name System) cache?

Answer

If a website has changed IP addresses or is out of date, a DNS flush may be required.

  1. Navigate to Start and click on Run.
  2. Type in "CMD" and then click Run/Ok.
  3. Once the Command Prompt is open, type "ipconfig /flushdns". You will see a message confirming the DNS resolver cache has been flushed.
  4. Close out Command Prompt once it is complete.
