Can Student Employees have access to Cisco Jabber?


Cisco Jabber is a chat system that is used throughout BGSU in order to communicate with colleagues within BGSU. Student employees are also allowed to have access to Cisco Jabber if the student has a Cisco Agent/ Call Center number profile.

  • If the student already has access to a Cisco Agent/ Call Center. They should be able to sign into Jabber using their BGSU username and password.
  • If a student does not have access to the Cisco Agent/ Call Center, a request can be made by a full time faculty or staff by using this request form.
    • Note: In the request new service form, please specify that the student will need a Cisco Agent/ Call Center Profile and not a telephone, unless one is needed.
  • If Cisco Jabber needs to be installed on machine, it can be downloaded from the Software Center. Use this guide for instructions on how to download programs from your Software Center.
