Remove Multiple Roles (Teacher, Student, Instructor) in Canvas

Removing multiple roles that have been assigned to one particular person.

Multiple roles usually occur by giving a teaching assistant or graduate assistant the Instructor/Teacher role in Canvas.

An individual with the Teacher or Instructor role in Canvas can make the following modifications to remove or add roles: 

1. Sign into Canvas.
2. Select the Course to make the change in.
3. Select People from the Navigation pane.
4. Select All Roles and then select the appropriate role (Teacher/TA,etc).
5. On the next screen, select the student/person's name.
6. Next, select the more users details link.
7. A memberships box will appear. Find the role that shows the student/person enrolled as a Teacher/Instructor and select Conclude this Enrollment.
8. This will default the student back to a student role.
