How to configure BGSU email on outlook using Mac (OS).

Answer

  1. Open Outlook and select Outlook from the top left.
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Select Accounts
  4. Choose Exchange Account from the menu on the right.
  5. On the next screen, enter your account information as follows:
    • Email address field: Enter your BGSU email address including @bgsu.edu.
    • Method Field: Select Username and password.
    • Username Field: Enter your bgsu email address including @bgsu.edu.
    • Password Field: Enter your current BGSU password. 
  6. Select Add Account.
  7. During the verification process, you may be asked to enter a internal and external server name.
    • The internal server name wil be outlook.office365.com
    • The external server name will be SMTP.Office365.com
    • You may also be asked to trust server settings. Select the check box and click ok.
  8. To finish up the setup process, Select Add Account.
