How do I update my browser?
Answer
Expand the panels in this article for instructions on how to update a variety of different browsers
Update Mozilla Firefox
- Open Firefox.
- Select the menu button (three horizontal lines) from the upper right corner.
- Select Help.
- Select About Firefox.
- Firefox will automatically check for updates. If an update is available, it will be downloaded.
- When the download is complete, select Restart to update Firefox.
- Restart Firefox.
Update Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Select ellipses (...) from the menu bar.
- Select Help and Feedback.
- Select About Microsoft Edge
- If the About page shows An Update is available. Select Download and install to proceed. Network charges may apply., select Download and Install. Close and relaunch your browser to apply the update.
- If the About page shows To finish updating, restart Microsoft Edge., select Restart. The update is already downloaded and all you need to do is close and relaunch the browser for it to be applied.
Update Google Chrome
- Open the Chrome menu via the three-dot icon located at the top right of the window.
- Select Help.
- Select About Google Chrome.
- Select Relaunch.
- If you can't find the Relaunch option, you're on the latest version.
Update Safari
Safari is included with the operating system (OS) on your Apple device. If a later version of Safari is available for your device, you can get it by installing the latest OS updates or upgrades for your device.
