Connect to BGSU Network on University Device via GlobalProtect VPN

Instructions on how to connect to the BGSU network from your university device via the BGSU VPN/GlobalProtect.

How do I connect to the BGSU network (via GlobalProtect VPN) from my university device while off-campus? 

Note: These steps are for using GobalProtect on a university-owned device. Using GlobalProtect will connect your computer directly to the BGSU network. Once connected you will be able to access the same sites you would only be able to access on campus.

Connect to GlobalProtect: 

1. Ensure you are connected to your home Wi-Fi. 
2. Select and open the GlobalProtect application (gray globe icon) from your tool bar on Mac (upper right corner) or task bar on Windows (select ^ in the lower right corner near date/time)
3. Enter bgsuvpn.gpcloudservice.com for the portal address if not already present. 
4. Select Connect, if prompted. 
   • Mac users:  If you receive a pop-up that states "GlobalProtect would like to Filter Network Content" when connecting, select Allow. 
5. Enter your BGSU username and password.  
6. Authenticate via Duo Two Factor Authentication.
