How to Change Display Settings for Multiple External Displays (Monitors)

How can I change the way my screens display while I am using multiple external monitors?

• You can learn how to configure your display settings for use with multiple external monitors (displays) by selecting on one of the following links:

  • Mac:  Use one or more external displays with your Mac

• If you loose connection here are some troubleshooting tips to get your displays back
  • For Mac:
    • Hook your monitor up to a different computer for a few days.
    • Try a different HDMI cable.
    • Use different HDMI port on the monitor and Mac.
    • Use a different dock.
  • For Windows:
    • For an external monitor start by pressing Windows logo key + P to ensure the extend option is selected. 
    • Disconnect all accessories from PC (docks, dongles, adapters, etc.).
    • Ensure cable connected to PC is secure. 
    • Try a windows key sequence (Windows logo key + Ctrl + Shift + B).
    • Restart device.
    • Reinstall your display driver.
