Question

How do I switch between my call center devices in Cisco Finesse?

Answer

Cisco Finesse provides call center users with the option to switch between telephone devices (for example; university desk phone and Cisco Jabber softphone) upon login. Users with only one device configured will not be prompted to select or switch devices. 

Instructions for selecting/changing the device you wish to use are listed below:

  1. Log in to Cisco Finesse
  2. You will be presented with the Select Your Preferred Device menu. 
  3. The devices available to you will be listed here. 
    1. Desk phones are listed as CISCO + Model Number (for example; Cisco 8945).
    2. Softphone is listed as Jabber Desktop.
  4. Select the device you would like to use. 
  5. Select Continue
  6. You are now logged in using the selected device. 
    • To confirm the device you are using, select the User Options menu from the top right corner of the screen.

To switch to a different device log out and back into Cisco Finesse and follow the steps listed above.
