Zoom Display Name

Can I change my Zoom display name?

Your Zoom display name is directly linked to the Chosen Name listed in your BGSU account. To change your display name, you must change your Chosen Name in MyBGSU. 

1. Log in to MyBGSU.
2. Select Update Personal Info.
3. Select Names.
4. Add or modify your Chosen Name.
5. Download the Zoom desktop application.
6. Select Sign in through SSO.
7. Enter bgsu-edu as your domain.
8. Sign in using your BGSU credentials.
9. Your display name should now be updated to the recently changed Chosen Name. 
   • Your Chosen Name will display in the majority of BGSU applications including MyBGSU, Student Center, Canvas, and BGSU email.
