Configure Chromebook for Mobility Print

Question

How do I install the Mobility Print driver on my Chromebook?

Answer

Users must be connected to the BGSU eduroam network to complete this setup.

Installing the Mobility Print Driver

  1. Select the link below and select Add to Chrome to download the extension. 
  2. Exit the Chrome Web Store.

 

Print Your Document

  1. 1Open the webpage or file that you would like to print, and then select the print option.
  2. Select BGSU Papercut printer – there will be a green PaperCut icon located to next to the printer name.
  3. Click Print, and then sign in to the PaperCut pop-up with your BGSU username and password.
  4. Select Sign in and print to print your document.

Please Note: Color prints are selected by default. To print in black and white, change settings in your Printer Properties prior to printing your document.

 

Retrieving your Printed Document

  1. Add funds to your BG1 card.
    • Students must have funds available in the BG Bucks account of their BG1 card in order to print. Visit the BG1Card office website to learn how to load funds to your account by reviewing the different Deposit Options and/or watching the BG1 Card office's video tutorials here.
    • See student printing costs.
  2. Visit a Mobility Print release stations on campus.
  3. Swipe your BGSU ID card on the touch panel OR select the keyboard icon in the top right corner of the screen and enter your BGSU username and password.
  4. A list of available prints will display. Select the document(s) you would like to print on the touch panel and then click Print
  5. Once your document has been released, you will see a "print job released successfully" notification on the touch panel.
  6. Retrieve your document.
  7. Logout of the printer by selecting Log Out in the top right corner of the touch panel, OR you will be automatically logged out after approximately one minute of inactivity.

*ITS does not recommend the use of Chromebooks because they are not compatible with many academic and enterprise applications.
