Reset Forgotten BGSU Password

How do I reset my forgotten BGSU account password?

BGSU account holders can change/reset their password via self-service by following the instructions below.

1. Navigate to MyBGSU. 
2. On the log in page select Forgot Password. 
3. Enter your full BGSU email address. 
4. Select your preferred method for resetting your password:
   1. SMS (you must first configure your mobile number for SMS password reset)
      1. Select Reset via SMS
      2. Enter the code you receive via text and select Verify.
   2. Voice Call (you must first configure your mobile number for voice call password reset)
      1. Select Reset via Voice Call
      2. Enter the passcode you receive from the phone call and select Verify.
   3. ​​​​​​​Email
      1. Select Reset via Email.
      2. Check your BGSU email for the password reset email from BGSU Information Technology Services <its-noreply@bgsu.edu>​​​​​​​.
      3. Select the Reset Password link.
         • Please note: password reset link expires in 1 hour.
5. Enter the answer to your security question and select Reset Password.
   1. Review the password requirements and then enter your new password twice in the associated fields.
   2. Select Reset Password.

 Your mobile provider's standard rates for sending and receiving text messages still apply.
