Why Do I Receive an Access BGSU Error When Trying to Access Web Clock?

Why am I getting an "Access BGSU Error" when I click on Web Clock, Time & Labor, or View Paycheck, in MyBGSU?

Answer

You will receive this error if you are not connected to the BGSU network.

The Web Clock, View Paycheck, and Time & Labor (and any other CSS, FMS, or HCM) tools can only be accessed over the BGSU wireless/wired network or when connected to BGSU VPN/Pulse secure. If you are on campus, please ensure you are connected to the eduroam Wi-Fi network or campus ethernet (wired connection) and try again. 

If you are working remotely and have a university device and a VPN account, you may log into Pulse Secure VPN to enable access to these tools by following the instructions at this link: Connect to VPN via Pulse Secure. (Note that all full-time Faculty and Staff are automatically provisioned with a VPN account. Students, including graduate instructors, do not typically have VPN accounts.) After you have connected to the VPN, you will be able to navigate to these pages.

If you are working remotely and do not have a university device or a VPN account, please contact your supervisor directly to log your time. You will not be able to access Web Clock off campus.
