Accessing Avalon

How do I access the Avalon application?

From Canvas

Note:  Instructors can utilize a course navigation link or create links in modules.  Navigation in Avalon remains the same from either link.

1. In Canvas navigate to the course.
2. Once in the course select Avalon from the left-navigation menu.
   • You will be taken to a page that states, "To visit the URL, click the button below."
3. Select Open in New Tab.
   • Avalon will load in a new tab.
4. Select Sign In from the upper right.
5. You will either be automatically signed in or taken to a log in page.
6. Enter your BGSU username and password.
   • This site does not require Duo.

From Avalon.bgsu.edu

1. Navigate to avalon.bgsu.edu.
2. Select Sign In from the upper right.
3. Enter your BGSU username and password.
   • This site does not require Duo..

Once logged in you can browse by Format, Main Contributor(department or person), Date (Year), Genre, Collection (Group/Department), Unit, and Language.

Once you find the video you want you can select it by clicking on it to watch or you select the checkbox to add it to your selected items list to watch at later.
